            Location: Beijing, Anzhen
            Curriculum: Common Core with a Project-Based Learning Approach
            Job Overview:
            We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Elementary School Teacher to join our international school in Anzhen, Beijing. Our school follows a Common Core curriculum with a project-based learning (PBL) approach, integrating multiple subjects through interdisciplinary studios. Teachers must be well-prepared each month, as studios require collaboration across subjects, content management, and interdisciplinary lesson planning.
            As grades often study together, the teacher will deliver differentiated, hands-on learning experiences for multi-age and multi-level learners. The role includes teaching English, Math, and Social Studies, as well as supporting students during snack time, morning registration, and pastoral periods like assemblies. Teachers are also responsible for maintaining updated units and grade books in ManageBac.
            Key Responsibilities:
            Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
            ·Teach English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Social Studies based on Common Core standards.
            ·Plan and execute interdisciplinary, project-based learning (PBL) lessons that connect subjects to real-world applications.
            ·Be well-prepared for each month’s curriculum, ensuring lesson materials align with interdisciplinary learning goals.
            ·Adapt lessons for multi-age and multi-level classrooms, ensuring differentiation for diverse student needs.
            ·Incorporate collaborative projects, technology, and experiential learning.
            Interdisciplinary Studio & Collaboration:
            ·Engage in collaborative planning with other teachers to ensure interdisciplinary connections between subjects.
            ·Maintain subject content awareness and organization, ensuring smooth execution of cross-disciplinary projects.
            ·Manage and track students’ engagement and progress across different subjects.
            ·Update units and grade books regularly in ManageBac, ensuring accurate student records and reporting.
            Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
            ·Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
            ·Provide monthly report cards with detailed feedback on student progress across subjects.
            ·Support ESL learners by implementing effective language acquisition strategies.
            Classroom & Student Management:
            ·Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
            ·Set clear expectations for student behavior and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
            ·Guide students in developing self-regulation, collaboration, and independent learning skills.
            Pastoral & Community Engagement:
            ·Conduct morning registration and facilitate student discussions during snack time.
            ·Lead or participate in school assemblies and pastoral care sessions.
            ·Work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure students' well-being and holistic development.
            ·Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
            Professional Development & School Contribution:
            ·Engage in staff meetings, training workshops, and collaborative planning sessions.
            ·Continuously develop professional skills, particularly in project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching.
            ·Support the school's mission by contributing to a positive and innovative school culture.
