Main Duties
· Required to keep the Chairman/CEO, CIO appraised of all project deliverables in a timely manner.
· Lead cross-functional teams and manage global projects through all phases, from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables align with strategic objectives.
· Execute technical design and development with a specialization in charging connector systems for electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems and other relevant Lithium-ion battery applications.
· Develop and implement project strategies for customer needs analysis, and market development strategies.
· Transfer and launch projects from European and North American markets to China, achieving on-time delivery within budget and quality assurance targets.
· Collaborate with sales teams to promote platform project products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
· Perform budget management, including tracking project costs and ensuring financial deliverability.
· Conduct risk management by identifying potential project risks, implementing preventative measures, and managing issue resolution.
· Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) cost control, driving material optimization and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) efforts.
· Manage project team performance, fostering motivation and ensuring effective team collaboration.
· Act as the customer liaison, supporting the Business Development team as an engineering expert, maintaining transparent communication and managing customer expectations and the broader relationship.
· Navigate project reviews and gate processes, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of all project deliverables, including design reviews and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
· Deliver comprehensive status reports to top management and stakeholders at regular intervals.
· Utilise the relevant project management tool utilised in the company
· Responsible for engineering team daily duties and tasks.
· Responsible for project team’s budgets.
Qualifications
· BEng Degree in Electrical Engineering.
· Management Studies.
· 10 plus years in the industry of automotive and or battery technology

Type of Experience:
· Experience in the automotive industry, particularly within electric vehicle sectors.
· Experience in the OEM Battery Energy Storage design industry. Please note, we don’t look for BESS Project Manager, which do the installation, as this is more real estate related. Focus is on the system design and assembly industry (e.g. Siemens)
· Proven experience managing global projects and leading diverse teams.
Experience in technical design and development of mechanical and electrical systems.
Technical Skills
· Knowledge/expertise in planning, scheduling and project management.
· Task oriented.
· Expertise in latest software and hardware associated with project management
· Strong knowledge of Lithium-ion technology sector and relevant applications
· Proficiency in project management software and tools.
· Advanced knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
· Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
· Technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems design.
